The last four weeks since my last newsletter have just been amazing with the achievements and efforts of our students and student leaders. Last week in particular we held two student-led initiatives-Shave for a Cure and National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence. These two events were a remarkable success with the student leaders, raising a staggering $16 500(+) for the Leukaemia Foundation. On the same day our students took a very visible stance against bullying and violence. Our School Captains created a declaration against bullying and violence that was initially signed by your P and C President, the School Council Chairperson, myself and the four school captains. Our student leaders are seeking for every student at Mountain Creek to sign these declarations. Students were also encouraged to place a hand print on calico sheeting to be displayed in each of our sub-schools.
Congratulations to our student leaders and thank you to our staff for their commitment to these causes.
