The Creekers have a long and proud sporting history at Mountain Creek SHS.
Many former students are currently experiencing success in the Mal Meninga Cup (U/18) Hastings Deering (U/20) Queensland Cup, and NRL both as players and as officials.
Rugby League is an elective subject at Mountain Creek in years 7 through to 12.
The senior students program is closely linked to the Certificate 3 in Fitness course and successful students also receive points towards their QCE. Students can also study Rugby League and remain ATAR eligible.
Current students have an opportunity to test themselves at the highest levels of Schoolboys Rugby League in Queensland through the following pathways:
The qualification process for Tier 1, Broncos top level competitions begins Term 1 each year.
Mountain Creek SHS was the first school on the Sunshine Coast to take part in these top tier competitions and are former winners of the Renouf Shield (Yr 8) Hancock Cup (Yr 9) and Walters Cup (Yr 10) competitions. Mountain Creek were successful in gaining entry to the Brisbane Broncos Old Boys Trophy (Yr 7) for 2023.
