Mountain Creek State High School continues to offer the Young Scholars Program for students in Years 5 and 6 from our local key partner primary schools. The program is designed to provide enrichment opportunities for bright and motivated students. Young Scholars will participate in a number of challenging activities throughout the year.

For the Young Scholars Program this year we will have a Year 5 and Year 6 cohort - Our current Year 5 Young Scholars will progress to Year 6.  We will be accepting new enrolment applications from Year 4 students to take positions into the Year 5 program next year.

Activities will cover a range of subject areas including Science, Maths, English, Humanities, Information Technology, Creative Industries (Music, Art, Dance, Drama), Business, Home Economics, Japanese and Spanish. As such, Young Scholars will have access to state of the art facilities for various enrichment activities.

The Young Scholars Program is to reward outstanding young students who have succeeded academically, are good role models to their peers, and also are strong in one or more areas of sport, art, dance, drama, music, public speaking and/or leadership, debating and information technology. Such 'all-roundedness' in students will provide them with an education for life in the 21st century. The staff and students at MSCHS are very excited about working with our future 'Creekers' and hope that their journey in the Young Scholars Program will be both enjoyable and rewarding.
